After E3 and continuing to network within the video game community, we're excited to have set a new website traffic record on www.GatheringofGamers.com!
We averages around 413 people visiting the GoG everyday in July, which amounted to the big numbers for the month. Obviously, we have tons of room to continue the growth, but with the new record being set a lot higher than the previous record (9,494 set in May 08), it's encouraging to know that our community is catching on and that as more members join this video game community, the referral rate will grow exponentially as well.
Our search engine visibility also continues to help drive people to our social network. In this record setting month of July, the MSN search engine brought in around 3,500 visitors, Google had around 1,100, and Yahoo/Digg brought another 400 gamers our way.
A connection with KSI Global has also been a great source of new members, so we'd like to thank those who have supported this project from that huge organization.
In closing, I'm sure we'll get to break this website traffic record of 12,800 soon, so we're not going to dwell on this mile marker too much, but it's fun to see GatheringofGamers.com really start to take off!
