AJAX Hits GatheringofGamers.com

In the never ending effort to provide the most unique, easy-to-use social network JUST for video gamers, we are proud to share that new website enhancements have gone online and will continue to be coming for the next few days. We realize these are not ground breaking techniques, but also are proud to be pushing the bounderies and giving our video game community as much attention as possible as it continues to develop.

The foundation of these new updates are that we're trying to make this website quicker, easier, and more fun to use. You'll notice that your gamer profile has been updated with a few smooth animated flavors and by beginning to weave AJAX into our community, we're excited about the additional plans that have been put in place and will be going online soon as well!

Functionality such as minimizing and maximizing each module within the profiles you visit around the GoG, having information and titles displayed by hovering over thumbnails (instead of needing to click), smoother commenting and Chronicle development tools, enhanced chat features, a new GoGcast player, easier to manage friend listings, and an all-new photo gallery approach are just a few things that we're very excited to release for our growing community.

Look for all this fun stuff to be coming within the next week or so and we always appreciate your comments, thoughts, and new ideas within the GoG Forum. A special thanks to RyuBlitz and BEN, for their dedicated teamwork and exciting new developments for www.GatheringofGamers.com!

MORE ABOUT AJAX
AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML), is a group of interrelated web development techniques used to create interactive web applications and rich Internet applications. With AJAX, web applications can retrieve data from the server asynchronously in the background without interfering with the display and behavior of the existing page.
